Welcome to Bread House B & B, a guesthouse which is owner run by Hennie and Isabel Ferreira. Bread House is a secure and homely guest house situated in Bethlehem. The town of Bethlehem was founded on the farm Pretoriuskloof  in 1864 and is situated in the the heart of the Eastern Free State. We are perfectly situated on the way from Kwa-Zulu Natal via the Drakensberg, to Bloemfontein on the way to Cape Town (N5). The name Bethlehem is derived from the Biblical word "Broodhuis", meaning House of Bread. The name is most appropriate as it is at the center of one of the most fertile wheat growing regions in the country. Bethlehem is known for it’s champagne climate. Summer temperatures are warm with an average temperature of 26 degrees.

• Have fun playing pool or darts. Enjoy the hot summer months next to the pool and on the covered patio
• Secure parking and electronic gates.

Attractions

We are a stone’s throw from the Drakensberg, Clarens and Golden Gate, where you can enjoy leisurely walking, hiking, horse riding and trout fishing.

• An hour's drive to the famous Lesotho Highlands Water Project and Katse Dam
• For the game and nature lovers – Wolhuterskop Nature Reserve is situated on the outskirt of town where you can view antelope species by car or follow a hiking trail.
• A game ranch is nearby (25 km), famous for white lions. Game viewing can be done from open game vehicles. Guests may touch and bottle-feed the very young cubs!
• Bird watching – Pretoriuskloof Bird Sanctuary (in town)
• Sporting facilities include Tennis, Bowls, 18 hole golf course and the vast lakes for water sport.
• Other activities include hiking trails, international cycling, hot air balloon and annual air show, as well as an annual Christian Festival.
• A 4x4 course, Bow hunting, hunting packages can be organized
