Named after the elven forest kingdom in J.R.R Tolkiens fabled Middle Earth, Lothlorien represents to us the impermanence and fleeting nature of beauty and all passing things. Tolkien was born locally in Bloemfontein and there is much in this landscape to remind one of the mood and magic in his novels.

Lothlorien Cottage is an historic sandstone house, nestled in an enchanted rambling garden overlooking the Maluti mountains. The cottage is centrally situated near all amenities and contains two bedrooms, a lounge with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen for self catering, and a barbecue/braai facility within the large garden. Lothlorien sleeps four to six people
