Situated on this escarpment of history, Dumbe is a log, stone and thatch 6 sleeper lodge with surprising view of times gone by. Dumbe offers comfortable accommodation in one double room (sleeping two), and one loft room (sleeping four singles). Only two persons also welcome.
The living and dining area leading out onto the sundeck offers breathtaking views on the whole valley.
Dumbe is about 280km from Durban and about 300km from Johannesburg on the R74 route.
Solar power is provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery with a scullery, gas stove and gas fridge.
The bath room is equipped with a gas geyser. Towels provided. Bring a torch for night convenience.
The braai area nestled between rocks and Protea bushes offers astounding views. There is also a Weber braai on the deck.
Dumbe is walking distance from the Kaalvoetvrou-monument. Dumbe offers fly-fishing, mountain biking, 4x4 route, bird watching, hiking and pure relaxation.
